Last June, Princeton Presbyterians traveled to the Taizé Community in France for a week of dialogue, worship, and shared life with young Christians from around the world. Sarah Joo, an alum of Presbys and a first-year Master of Divinity student at Harvard, wrote a lovely reflection on her experience at Taizé and its connections to Breaking Bread. Senior Jack Geld, a dear friend of Presbys and a student leader at the Center for Jewish Life, led our Prayer for Illumination by teaching us Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”

University Chapel Senior Sermon: Amaya Dressler '25
Princeton Presbys senior Amaya Dressler preached at the University Chapel on May 11, 2025! Amaya shared about the story of Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8, and how kindness can break through loneliness at Princeton. Amaya also shared this sermon at our Breaking Bread worship service as we came to the end of the 2024-25 school year. We’re proud of Amaya as she begins a master’s degree at Yale Divinity School this fall.
Breaking Bread Senior Sermon: Isabella Shutt '24
This spring, Princeton Presbyterians welcomed graduating seniors into the pulpit at Breaking Bread! Senior Isabella Shutt preached on Acts 1:1-8 on the theme of discerning when and how to do justice. Isabella will begin studies at Princeton Theological Seminary in the fall. We’re proud of her gifts for ministry, and we’re glad to share an audio file of this sermon with you!

Breaking Bread Senior Sermon: Grecia Hernandez Perez '24
This spring, Princeton Presbyterians welcomed graduating seniors into the pulpit at Breaking Bread! Senior Grecia Hernandez Perez preached on Acts 4 on the theme of pursuing poverty abolition as a community. Grecia drew from themes she studied this semester with Professor Matthew Desmond, the author of “Evicted” and “Poverty, By America.” Grecia will begin studies at Yale Divinity School in the fall. Join us in celebrating all the ways Grecia has blessed Princeton Presbyterians, and how she’ll bring her gifts to her studies next year!
